Siterama

Opening soon

Your site has two readers now.

One is a person. The other fetches your raw HTML, never runs JavaScript, and decides from that alone whether you get quoted when someone asks an assistant instead of searching. What it cannot read, it cannot cite. Most owners have never checked which of their pages it can.

Why we built it

We built Siterama as a crawler and sitemap tool, for the first reader. The second one was already there, and had been for years, while the whole industry kept designing for people and nobody measured what the machines could see.

People still matter most. They simply arrive after something else has read your site. So the second reader is the one we measure: one question, answered page by page, with the fetch that produced the answer attached, and no score out of a hundred anywhere. A verdict you cannot check is an opinion with a number on it.

FAQ

The ones we are asked most. Anything else, write to us.

hello@siterama.com

Do AI crawlers run JavaScript?

No. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and the rest fetch your HTML and read it as it arrives. Anything that only exists after a script runs is invisible to them, which is why a page can look complete to you and be empty to them.

Which AI crawlers visit my site?

Usually more than you expect. Siterama checks twenty-four named agents from fifteen vendors, and reports each one separately rather than treating them as a single “AI bot”.

Does blocking GPTBot remove me from Google?

No. Google-Extended controls AI training, and blocking it does not affect Googlebot or your place in Search. They are separate agents with separate rules, which is exactly the distinction most robots.txt files get wrong.

Is this an SEO tool?

No. SEO tools measure how you rank for a search. This measures whether a machine can read the page at all, which is upstream of ranking, mentions and citations alike.

How do I know if my site has a problem?

Verify the domain, run a scan, and read the map. Every page gets a verdict with the evidence behind it, and a scheduled re-scan proves whether a fix held.

Does the scan slow my site down?

No. SiteramaBot identifies itself, obeys robots.txt, and paces itself to one polite request at a time. It never pretends to be another company’s crawler to get in.
